Main Description:
Specialist analyst in mangrove restoration and blue carbon to design and implement large-scale restoration strategies. The position requires experience in carbon modeling, hydrological analysis, and carbon verification and certification processes (MRV). Work in close collaboration with teams in the UK and on-site in projects primarily in Central and South America.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in planning and implementing mangrove restoration projects
• Experience in mangrove ecosystem analysis and carbon storage assessment
• Competence in blue carbon assessment techniques and mangrove carbon modeling
• Knowledge of tidal pattern analysis and coastal/tidal hydrology
• Familiarity with carbon certification processes (VERRA, Plan Vivo) and carbon accounting methodologies
• Experience preparing or reviewing technical documentation (PDDs, MRVs)
• Analytical and data modeling skills (biomass, carbon storage)
• Competence in coastal remote sensing (SAR, hyperspectral)
• Knowledge of aquaculture and interaction with mangrove systems
• Experience with validation/verification audits
• Marine fieldwork competencies and water safety
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and verbal)
• Basic programming (R, Python, Java)
• Bachelor's or Master's/PhD in relevant discipline
