Contract Type: Unpaid internship (minimum 12 weeks, June-October 2026)
Main Description: Internship program monitoring Ireland's resident bottlenose dolphin population through field surveys, photo ID data handling, and education/outreach activities. Work based on RIB and research vessel surveys in the Shannon Estuary.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in marine biology, ecology, or marine science
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with others
- Advantageous: previous data collection experience, experience at sea, education/outreach experience, marine mammal knowledge, small boat handling, photography skills, driver's license valid in Republic of Ireland (for applicants over 25)
