Location: Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Organization: SOCIB (Balearic Islands Coastal Observing System)

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract until January 31, 2027

Main Description: Office-based position for scientific data stewardship and software development within the OSTrails project. Responsible for stewardship of marine data, preparation of deliverables, and participation in coordination meetings with technical and scientific partners.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Oceanography, Mathematics, Physics, Marine Sciences, Computer Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience in software development and/or scientific data stewardship
• English level B2 or equivalent
• Legal capacity to live and work in Spain (DNI, NIE with work authorization or EU passport)
• No history of disciplinary dismissal from public administration or disqualification from public functions

Benefits/Conditions:

• Contract until January 31, 2027
• Start date no later than May 1, 2026
