Main Description:
The Whale Museum is seeking a full-time Communications Manager to advance the museum's public voice, visual identity, and narrative. The role involves translating the museum's research, education, and marine conservation programs into clear and compelling public stories. The Communications Manager will work collaboratively with the entire museum team across departments.
Requirements:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- At least two years of professional experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or digital media
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging public content for social media and digital platforms
- Strong visual judgment and aesthetic sensibility
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible language
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Experience with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, and design software
Salary of $65,000 with a competitive benefits package.
