Main Description:
This 21-month postdoctoral position focuses on synthesizing population genetic data from islands and characterizing genetic diversity patterns. The project aims to improve the understanding and protection of multispecies genetic diversity patterns through macrogenetic synthesis and population genetic simulations.
Requirements:
- PhD in Population Genomics, Bioinformatics, Macroecology, or Digital Twin development
- Strong knowledge of population genetic theory
- Understanding of molecular data types
- Experience with remote computing clusters and large datasets
- Skills in statistical modelling
- Collaborative and collegial working style
- Excellent scientific communication and writing skills in English
- Programming skills in Python and/or R (desirable)
- Experience with SLiM (desirable)
- Interest in conservation biology (desirable)
- Understanding of island biogeographic theory (desirable)
