Main Description:
Coral Gardeners is looking for a Restoration R&D Scientist Lead to design, execute, and analyze coral restoration trials in the field. This role bridges scientific objectives and operational field protocols, leading research teams focused on applied reef restoration science in tropical waters.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in marine sciences, biology, ecology, or environmental sciences
- Diving experience in tropical and temperate waters
- Experience with experimental infrastructure in aquatic environments
- Extended in-water experience
- Boat handling skills (maneuvering, towing, launching, basic mechanics)
- Experimental design and statistical analysis
- Hands-on mindset combined with scientific rigor
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in coral conservation and restoration
