Senior Specialist, Whale Report Alert System - Ocean Wise Conservation Association - Vancouver, BC, Canadá - Salario CAD 67.500-75.000

Main Description: Will lead the operation and continuous advancement of the Whale Report Alert System (WRAS), Ocean Wise's flagship conservation technology platform. Will oversee operations, funding agreements, strategic partnerships, technology development, and stakeholder engagement to achieve measurable conservation outcomes and reduce vessel strikes and whale disturbance.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Resource Management, or related field (PhD considered an asset)
- Demonstrated experience in program and project management
- Strong background in marine conservation, environmental science, resource management, and sustainability
- Track record in stakeholder management and partnerships with academia, government, industry, or NGOs in Canada
- Experience in procurement and management of grants and funding
- Excellent scientific, technical, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis, monitoring, and program evaluation
- High level of digital literacy (Office Suite, SharePoint, Salesforce, GIS, R, or equivalent)
Benefits/Conditions:
- Base salary of CAD 67,500 to 75,000
