Assistant Professor in Organismal Biology (USA)

The Department of Biology at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a research focus in the area of organismal biology, broadly defined. Candidates may be using methods and approaches ranging from cell/molecular to behavioral, but their goals should be understanding biological processes at the systems level. Examples of possible research areas include: physiological adaptations to the environment, interactions between organisms such as host/microbiome relationships, and integration of organ systems including hormonal, immunological and homeostatic mechanisms.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D., and is expected to develop a vigorous research program and to participate in the Department’s teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. More information about the Department and the University can be found at http://biology.stanford.edu/.
