Location: Primadomus (Spain)

AAP is a Dutch organisation that operates at two locations; Almere (The Netherlands), and Villena (Alicante, Spain). The goal and ideal of AAP is to improve the welfare of abused or neglected exotic mammals from all over Europe in a professional manner. For most animals we will find suitable homes in zoos, reserves or in our own sanctuary, after rehabilitation in our centres.

AAP is an internationally renowned knowledge centre. AAP is actively and strategically involved in animal welfare issues by influencing both Dutch and European policy- and decision-makers and by working together with professional groups at national and international level. AAP distinguishes itself by having an enormous passion and a professional, open culture. Our core values, accessibility, dedication, and inventiveness form important guidelines of our culture.

AAP operates from their two locations in Almere (The Netherlands) and Villena (Alicante, Spain). In total, we employ about 115 paid staff and more than 220 volunteers. The Spanish department is AAP Primadomus and is located at the foot of the Sierra de Salinas, one of the most important natural protected environments of Villena.
