ambition to restore, refurbish and re-present the buildings and
facilities associated with this Grade 1 listed garden, with a major
fundraising appeal supporting this process.

This work will help us to deliver our mission to demonstrate the
medicinal, economic, cultural and environmental importance of plants to
the survival and well-being of humankind. A first round NLHF grant has
been received focused on a programme of Glasshouse restoration,
interpretation and community engagement with the intention that a second
round application will be made by October 2020.

In 2019, a Learning Strategy was developed to support the achievement of
the Garden’s mission, to provide focus to our programmes of activity,
and ensure we are able to achieve our departmental ambitions for the future.

The Head of Learning & Public Engagement (HLPE) will lead the department
and team to achieve the Learning Strategy and support the Garden’s
overall ambitions and business plans.
