The Oxford Trust is looking to recruit a Science Oxford Centre Officer (1 Year Maternity Cover) and STEM Projects Officer to our busy Science Oxford education and engagement team, who will work with us to inspire school pupils and families in STEM.

Science Oxford Centre Officer (1 year Maternity cover)
Salary: £25K pa
Responsible to: Science Oxford Centre Operations Manager
Working arrangements: 37.5 hours per week (Tues – Saturday on 2 weeks per month). There is a time off in lieu system to compensate for overtime.
Holiday: 25 days per annum. The holiday year is January-December.
Location: Science Oxford Centre, Quarry Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 8SB

The Science Oxford Centre Officer will be responsible for the public opening, on two Saturdays each month, of the Science Oxford Centre (SOC). They will also be responsible for the delivery and administration of a programme for primary schools. We are looking for a creative thinker who is able to develop their own ideas, working as part of our Education and Engagement Team and in consultation with the SOC Operations Manager.

The STEM Projects Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of a suite of STEM-focused activities such as club sessions, workshops and events for young people and their families. The role will include the ongoing delivery and development of our science club programme for primary-aged children, including trialling ideas to make the programme more accessible to diverse audiences. The postholder will also support the delivery of our STEM programme both in primary schools and within the Science Oxford Centre. We are looking for a creative thinker who is able to develop their own ideas, working as part of our Education and Engagement Team and in consultation with the Education Outreach Manger.
