Objective
Beaver Trust’s main strategic focus is on beaver restoration in Britain. However, where capacity and funding allows us, we use our team’s restoration experience and knowledge to aid important overseas projects. Currently, it is not efficient for the administration of these overseas projects to be undertaken by our highly experienced restoration team, and a more effective approach is required.

Summary of services required
Beaver Trust is looking to secure an experienced administrator to aid our restoration team in the format of administrative support for multiple overseas projects. This administrator will be responsible for the coordination of multiple stages of overseas project work, from setting up initial scoping calls within country teams to coordinating feedback to funders and handling invoices.

Requirements/experience needed
We need a highly organised and experienced project administrator who can support the team in multiple aspects of project delivery. You will maintain close communications with colleagues to establish and sustain clear project tracking, data handling and reporting both internally and externally to a range of stakeholders and project partners. Key aspects of this opportunity will be facilitating project meetings, reviewing and maintaining accurate documentation and systems to track overseas projects and liaising with the Finance Manager and Head of Restoration to create accurate budgets, international finance transfers and invoices. You will be a highly organised individual who holds experience with databases, Microsoft Office and Google Suite and have a practical knowledge of adhering to GDPR regulations and company policies. You should also hold strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work constructively both independently and as part of a small team. Knowledge of beaver ecology and experience of working in wildlife conservation is desirable for this role.

Expression of interest process
To express your interest in this opportunity please submit a letter outlining your suitability for the role (max 300 words) and an accompanying CV (two pages maximum). Within your expression of interest please outline how you could manage the highly flexible nature of the working hours. Please note that any letters that exceed the maximum length will not be considered. We do not accept expressions of interest via LinkedIn.

Please submit your expressions of interest to restoration@beavertrust.org entering Overseas Administrative Support in the subject line.

All shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Monday 4th November 2023. If you have not heard from us by this date, please accept our thanks for your interest and assume that you were not shortlisted on this occasion.
