Main Description: This position involves working with plant communities in grassland and tundra systems. The role includes fieldwork in the Åland archipelago and northern Scandinavia, laboratory sample processing, and assessment of plant functional traits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology (depending on level)
• Experience in fieldwork with plant communities
• Knowledge of plant species from southern Finland/Central Europe and/or tundra species
• Ability to work independently and meticulously in challenging conditions
• Fluent English
• Swedish is an asset (especially for Åland)
• Skills in functional trait measurement are a strong asset

Benefits/Conditions:

• Salary according to Finnish university salary system: Research Assistant approximately €2300-2500/month (before taxes); Project Researcher approximately €2600-3100/month (before taxes)
• Additional salary component based on performance (maximum 50%)
• Trial period maximum 50% of contract duration
