Main Description:
A fully funded doctoral position is available to investigate the genomic basis of invasion success using two invasive hemipteran pest species. The project combines molecular laboratory work with bioinformatic analysis and population genomics to understand the mechanisms underlying biological invasions.
Requirements:
- MSc degree completed by the start of the position
- Strong interest in evolutionary genomics, population genomics, or invasion biology
- Experience or keen interest in bioinformatics and genomic data analysis
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and motivation for independent research
- Full funding for 48 months
- ~5,000 PLN gross/month before mid-term evaluation
- ~6,500 PLN gross/month after mid-term evaluation
