Main Description:
The Margres Lab at the University of South Florida is seeking graduate students for NSF-funded positions focused on the study of convergent evolution in venom systems. The research integrates fieldwork, multi-omics approaches, and bioinformatics to investigate the evolutionary genomics of venom. The positions involve collaboration with Florida State University.
Requirements:
- Background in genomics and/or bioinformatics
- Experience or familiarity with R, Linux/Unix, computing clusters, and bioinformatics tools
- Laboratory skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Independent learner with a strong work ethic
