Main Description: The position focuses on designing and working with population genomic data to study the evolutionary transition between egg-laying and live-bearing reproduction in Littorina snails. The successful candidate will use genealogical methods (ancestral recombination graphs, ARGs) to identify and date alleles underlying this shift in reproductive mode.
Requirements:
- PhD in evolutionary genomics or related field
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing large genomic datasets
- Experience with tree sequences and/or ancestral recombination graphs
- Strong coding skills and experience with high-performance computing (HPC)
- Excellent communication skills and conceptual thinking
- Track record of publishing research
