Contract Type: 2-year postdoctoral position funded by ATIP-Avenir grant

Main Description: Postdoctoral position to characterize the role of HP1D2 heterochromatin protein in Drosophila spermatogenesis and sex-ratio meiotic drive. The project involves CUT&Tag approach, proximity-labeling strategy, and phenotypic characterization of HP1D2 knockout lines.

Requirements:
  • PhD in biology (genetics, genomics, evolutionary biology or related fields)
  • Strong interest in molecular biology and evolutionary genetics
  • Solid background in biochemistry and protein-protein interactions
  • Experience with Drosophila, bioinformatics, or confocal microscopy advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Initiative and capacity to lead research

Benefits/Conditions:
  • Salary: €3,081–€4,653 gross per month depending on experience
