Contract Type: 2-year postdoctoral position funded by ATIP-Avenir grant
Main Description: Postdoctoral position to characterize the role of HP1D2 heterochromatin protein in Drosophila spermatogenesis and sex-ratio meiotic drive. The project involves CUT&Tag approach, proximity-labeling strategy, and phenotypic characterization of HP1D2 knockout lines.
Requirements:
- PhD in biology (genetics, genomics, evolutionary biology or related fields)
- Strong interest in molecular biology and evolutionary genetics
- Solid background in biochemistry and protein-protein interactions
- Experience with Drosophila, bioinformatics, or confocal microscopy advantageous
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Initiative and capacity to lead research
