Job Description

Location: La Palma, Canary Islands – DELTA Project

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary Range: €19,720 - €37,119 annually, plus up to 30% additional performance-based bonuses.

About the Project: The DELTA Project focuses on implementing a comprehensive marine environment observation program following the 2021 volcanic eruption in La Palma. The goal is to enhance understanding of the affected marine ecosystem and promote sustainable management based on scientific research.

Key Responsibilities:Research and Monitoring: Lead research activities related to marine biodiversity, focusing on the impact of environmental changes, particularly following volcanic events.
Project Management: Oversee tasks assigned to PLOCAN, ensuring timely and accurate completion of project deliverables, reports, and technical documentation.
Fieldwork: Plan, organize, and participate in field campaigns for sample collection and oceanographic data acquisition.
Data Analysis: Analyze and model ecosystem data, ensuring adherence to international data collection standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with other researchers, attend scientific meetings, conferences, and contribute to project discussions and strategy.
Communication: Maintain and update project-related websites, and disseminate research findings through scientific publications and presentations.

Required Qualifications:Education: Master’s degree in Experimental Sciences (MECES 3).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in marine biodiversity monitoring or related research.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with oceanographic data analysis, use of remote underwater vehicles, and GIS tools.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Spanish (if it is not your native language) with a minimum B2 level as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with DNA analysis in marine environments.
Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PM2, PRINCE2).
Experience in international research collaborations and scientific publishing.

The Lammi Biological Station at the University of Helsinki is excited to announce an opening for a PhD researcher to join the newly formed group of Dr. Caio Graco-Roza.


Research Description:

The group focuses on studying planktonic communities and their responses to natural and anthropogenic factors both in the Lammi area but also worldwide. Planktonic communities are fundamental to the food chain, encompassing multiple taxa crucial for water quality management and ecosystem services. Their short lifespan and high demographic rates make them powerful ecological indicators.


The current project aims to understand the primary sources of diffuse pollution in the intensively monitored pilot catchment and the impact of diffuse pollution to plankton biodiversity. Collaborating with members of the “Watershed Safety Plan”-Project (WSSP), the successful applicant will contribute to developing catchment-level water protection solutions at the Baltic level.


The project employs both observational and experimental data collection methods. Observational data, gathered through source-track campaigns across the entire catchment, will inform a hydrological model for the pilot catchment. Given the area's predominant agricultural activities, the candidate will design experiments to assess the effects of various agricultural practices on aquatic biodiversity, particularly within the planktonic food web. The project uniquely integrates hydrological catchment models with experimental approaches to anticipate the large-scale impacts of anthropogenic activities on biodiversity. All necessary infrastructure and materials for experimentation are provided.

 

About You:

 

  • Ambitious, goal-oriented, collegial, and motivated to tackle challenging projects.
  • Hold or be near completion of an MSc degree in biology, ecology, geography, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in field sampling, with knowledge of water quality sampling considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency in statistical analytical tools such as R, Python, SPSS, or SigmaPlot.
  • Strong interest in experimental studies.
  • Good command of English. Finnish profficiency is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

 

Project Description:

 

The doctoral researcher will be the local coordinator of International Central Baltic Interreg-funded “Watershed Safety Plan”-Project (WSSP) focusing on developing catchment-level water protection solutions. In addition to thesis work, the PhD candidate will be responsible for the progress of the project locally. Project tasks include processing and analyzing long-term catchment data, contributing to the validation, development, and testing of hydrological catchment loading models. Data from experiments will facilitate extrapolation of results to identify areas in the catchment vulnerable to biodiversity loss.

 

Project Assignments:

 

  • Local tasks related to project coordination, management and communication.
  • Partner-level reporting of project activities and the financial implementation to the funder (To be done twice a year)
  • Compilation of data from the pilot catchment area for use by project partners in modeling implementation.
  • Implementation of load-reducing water protection solutions, such as landing basin restoration.
  • Participating to international project events and meetings
  • Depending on suitability, involvement in Pääjärvi load survey-related research, potentially extending employment by 1-2 months.

The researcher will perform basic and applied marine related research by conducting field work, compiling and analyzing data and writing technical reports and peer-reviewed publications or scientific papers related to assigned research being conducted.

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology, Ecology, Oceanography, Coastal and Pelagic Fisheries, Fisheries Management or other related field from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of marine research and/or related field and some experience in resource management and conservation is preferred. Field work is an essential part of a researcher’s duties so applicants must be able to conduct field work on a regular basis.

Postdoc con tiburones y ADN ambiental en la costa francesa dentro de un proyecto colaborativo e internacional

As part of the Biodiversa+ eWHALE project (https://ewhale.eu/), we are currently seeking a 24-month postdoctoral researcher to study porbeagle sharks' population ecology and genetics in Brittany (France), using eDNA methods. The position will be based at UMR DECOD in Rennes/France (https://www.umr-decod.fr/en) and is available from 1st October 2023. 

Porbeagle sharks (Lamna nasus) aggregate in unusually high numbers in shallow water off Brittany, northwest France. The hired post-doc will develop and implement eDNA methods to :
  • Clarify its spatio-temporal patterns in distribution and habitat-use by analysing water eDNA samples collected from different locations in shallow water off the Tregor/Goelo coast and at various time points.
  • Perform individual-level haplotyping from water eDNA and estimate intraspecific genetic diversity and structure. We aim to better understand their genetic variatibility, relatedness and potential subgroups (comparison with existing genetic data from the Bay of Biscay). In addition, we will also attempt to develop a novel method for genotyping a panel of SNPs to fingerpinting individual from seawater eDNA (comparison with visual observations and genotypes obtained from biopsies).
  • Identify associated marine megafauna (marine mammals, Atlantic bluefin tuna, other sharks) and potential preys (fish, cephalopods, crustaceans) using water eDNA metabarcoding. This will help us gain insights into the ecological interactions between porbeagles and their prey, shedding light on their trophic relationships and feeding behavior.
Candidate profile
We are seeking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher with a burning interest for contributing to marine conservation and the development of molecular tools. She/He will play a key role for comparing the success of different eDNA sampling approaches and optimizing the laboratory and bioinformatic processing of samples collected during the pilot study (Water eDNA vs biopsies) in 2023 (pilot study) and the main sampling phase in 2024.

Qualifications and Skills
  • A Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as marine biology, conservation genetics, or environmental science, with a focus on molecular techniques and eDNA studies.
  • Strong expertise in molecular biology, DNA extraction, PCR amplification, and sequencing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in bioinformatic pipelines for processing high-throughput sequencing data.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently manage research tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to foster effective interactions within the research team and with project partners.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
The candidate will be selected based on previous scientific track record and qualifications of relevance to the described projects. French speaking skills not mandatory, however, excellent written and spoken English is a requirement.

The successful applicant will work directly with Erwan Quéméré in a stimulating research group (http://www.quemere.fr/) based at the Research unit DECOD « Dynamics and sustainability of ecosystems: from source to sea » in Rennes (Brittany France) (https://www.umr-decod.fr/en). The
research group offers an inspiring and creative working environment where innovative techniques such as remote sensing, genomics, spatial analysis, imaging, and modeling are utilized to study marine and
freshwater ecosystems across various biological levels, from genes to organisms, populations, and communities. The lab is well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for eDNA analysis, including a dedicated PCR-free laboratory for eDNA analysis, a digital PCR system (QIAcuity), and direct access to an Illumina sequencing platform, and a bioinformatic server.

The project benefits from an attractive collaborative environnement with strong partnerships involving the French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea (IFREMER, Verena Trenkel, Loïc Baulier),
the NGO « Des Requins et des Hommes » (Sharks and Humans, Armelle Jung), the French Office of Biodiversity, and the Sept-Îles Nationale Nature Reserve. The successful applicant will be part of a large international research team and will be required to maintain regular communication and collaborative efforts with fellow partners from Austria (Bettina Thalinger, PI), Iceland, Italy, Azores islands within the eWHALE consortium. The sharing of samples and expertise among the consortium members is at the core of the project, particularly for the intercalibration of methods across different species of interest.

A contract for a PhD holder (Reference BIOPOLIS 2023-38) for an expect duration of 1 year, in the scope of the research project ANERIS (101094924) funded by international funds via the call HORIZON-INFRA-2022-TECH-01, is available at CIBIO/Associação BIOPOLIS, focused on the development the next generation of scientific instrumentation tools and methods for sensing marine-life.


Admission requirements: Candidates must hold a PhD degree in areas compatible with the work plan. If the doctorate has been awarded by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 66/2018, of 16th August, and any formalities established therein must be fulfilled by the date the employment contract is signed. We seek candidates with (i) taxonomic expertise on rocky intertidal fauna and flora from the Atlantic coast; (ii) experience in the collection of temperature data with autonomous data-loggers; (iii) relevant skills regarding the logistics involving fieldwork at rocky shores at continental scales (independence, resilience, self-reliance); (iv) excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written), (v) experience in sample collection and data analysis in molecular biology, transcriptomics and on the use of physiological indicators of thermal stress in marine organisms, (vi) experience in the analysis of coastal biodiversity and biogeography patterns, from data collection to data analysis; (vii) experience in participating in international and multidisciplinary research projects, (viii) experience in publishing research papers as a lead author and finally, (ix) solid work ethics and good teamwork skills, (x) availability to work on the weekends and abroad, (xi) valid driver’s license in Europe. Preferably, the candidate should be able to demonstrate these abilities through his/her Curriculum Vitae.


Working plan: Within the scope of the project, the following tasks will be developed: (i) collection of logged data from data-loggers; (ii) collection of qualitative and quantitative rocky intertidal biodiversity data in the field using traditional sampling quadrats and photo-quadrats; (iii) analysis of links between temperature and biodiversity across a variety of temporal and spatial scales; (iv) sample collection and data processing of genomic data applied to marine biodiversity and organism health and (v) preparation of manuscripts.


Applicable Legislation: Applicable Legislation: Decree-Law no. 57/2016 of August 29th, amended by Law 57/2017 and Regulatory Decree No. 11- A / 2017 which approved the doctorate hiring regime destined to stimulate scientific and technological employment for all knowledge areas (RJEC); Portuguese Labour Code, approved by Law 7/2009 of February 12, in its actual form.


Workplace: The work will be carried out at the CIBIO-InBIO, in Vairão, Vila do Conde.


Monthly remuneration: To comply with Law no. 4/2019, of 10 January, candidates must declare on the application form, under a statement of honor, their degree of disability, the type of disability and the means of communication/expression to be used in the selection process.


Jury composition: The Jury will be chaired by Dr. Fernando Lima (CIBIO), having as effective members Dr. Filipa Martins (CIBIO) and Dr. Rui Seabra (CIBIO) and substitute member Dr. Nuno Queiroz (CIBIO).


Evaluation criteria:
The evaluation of the CV of the candidates, in particular the scientific merit and research experience will take into consideration the elements presented for the last five years of activity falling within the scope of the specific areas of the tender (see admission requirements) and will be performed according to the following criteria:


1. Integrated assessment of the curriculum trajectory of the candidate, based on an overview of their scientific merits, namely:
I. Overall scientific coherence of the CV – 20%;
II. Diversity and quality of scientific indicators, including relevant published peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in the specific areas of the announcement (see admission requirements) – 20%;
III. Participation in international research projects – 10%.


2. Relevant experience, proved in CV, in:
i) experience in the collection of temperature data with autonomous data-loggers – 5%
ii) expertise in taxonomic identification of rocky intertidal organisms of the Atlantic (flora and fauna) – 20%
iiI) experience on the use of molecular biology techniques, including transcriptomics and indicators of thermal stress in marine organisms – 10%
(iv) experience in working on rocky shores under adverse conditions and planning fieldwork activities - 5%
(v) expertise in data collecting, processing and analysis of coastal biodiversity and biogeographic patterns – 10%

A PhD or mobility postdoctoral position on fish modelling in the Black Sea.

A PhD or postdoctoral mobility position is available under a joint supervision at the Liège University (MAST-FOCUS group, Department of Astrophysics, Geophysics and Oceanography), the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) in the Nederland and the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (US).

The research project aims at modelling the dynamics of selected fish species (e.g. anchovies, horse mackerel, sprat) in the Black Sea to assess the impact of past and projected environmental changes (e.g. deoxygenation, warming, fishing) on fish distribution and stocks. A Dynamic Energy Budget model will be coupled with an existing low trophic model that consists of a 3D hydrodynamical-biogeochemical model. The hydrodynamical model is the Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean (NEMO), the biogeochemical model is the BiogeochemicAl Model for Hypoxic and Benthic Influenced areas (BAMHBI). This coupled model is run in forecasting and reanalysis mode in the Black Sea in the frame of the marine Copernicus program (CMEMS).

The position is offered in the frame of the recently funded 4-year Horizon-Europe project NECCTON (New Copernicus Capability for Trophic Ocean Networks, 01/01/2023-31/12/2026).

Research activities

The candidate will have to develop and implement a model for the modelling of fish dynamics in the Black Sea and, in particular, to:
  1. Implement an existing Dynamic Energy Budget developed for anchovies (in the California current system) forced by a coupled physical-biogeochemical model;
  2. Finetune its parameterization for reproducing Black Sea’s selected fish species (mainly anchovies but also, sprat and horse mackerel);
  3. Assess the impact of past environmental changes on fish stocks and distribution by performing multi-decadal simulations.
  4. Perform climate projection along the Fish-MIP protocol under two scenarios of changes (SSP1-2.6, SSP5-8.5) and assess the impact of warming and deoxygenation on fish stocks and distribution.
  5. At regional scales (i.e. the north-western shelf), assess the combined impact of environmental (e.g. eutrophication) and fishing effort changes (as provided by socio-economic analyses).
The outputs of the model will serve to support fishery management in the Black Sea at basin and regional scales in response to (over)fishing and the ongoing warming and deoxygenation processes. Interactions with a wide diversity of stakeholders (e.g. the FAO General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean and Black Sea, ICES, IUCN) are foreseen in the frame of NECCTON and other ongoing projects (e.g. the H2020 BRIDGE, the UN Decade Global Ocean Oxygen Decade program GOOD).

In addition to the scientific project described here above, the successful candidate will have to:
  • Travel to project and international scientific meetings
  • For the PhD candidate, to follow the Doctoral Formation mandatory for obtaining a PhD.
  • To help in the supervision of master students and teaching activities performed by the group.
Requirements for application
  • For PhD candidate: Applicants must have completed a master’s degree in a field closely related to geosciences, physics, engineering or equivalent.
  • For post-doc candidate: Applicants must have a PhD in oceanography with an expertise in numerical modelling. Candidates must be non-Belgian citizens and should not have lived and/or worked in Belgium for more than 24 months during the past 3 years.
  • Skill in programming in languages like R, FORTRAN, C, and/or Python is required. Also, knowledge of ecological modeling and population dynamics is beneficial.
  • Good to very good written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Postdoc in ancient environmental DNA analysis at the Globe Institute. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic postdoctoral researcher to work on marine environmental DNA time series data, i.e. high-throughput sequencing metabarcoding and library preparation, sequence data processing,ecological analyses, for a 2-year position to commence around June 2023 or thereafter. 

The successful candidate will be part of the Copenhagen group of the ERC Synergy project, SEACHANGE (https://seachange-erc.eu/), in which a cross-disciplinary approach is adopted to assess the impact of major cultural transitions on marine ecosystem functioning and biodiversity. Apart from ancient environmental DNA analyses, the overall project includes classical zooarchaeology, stable isotope analyses, dating methods, marine historical ecology and ecosystem modelling.

A major focus of the role will be research into marine biodiversity changes across the European Mesolithic-Neolithic transition (from foraging to farming), specifically Southern Scandinavia (Work Package 1). 

The successful candidate will undertake DNA extraction, metabarcoding, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatic and ecological analysis of ancient environmental DNA from collected marine sediments and midden samples provided by project partners. Through collaboration with project partners the candidate will analyse a cross-disciplinary dataset of marine biodiversity changes, human impact and paleoclimate. 
Although material has already been collected, there are opportunities for further field collections from archaeological sites throughout Denmark. 

The main partners will be Prof Oliver Craig and Dr Harry Robson, University of York. Beyond the main objective, there are opportunities for the successful candidate to develop the project according to their interests and contribute to other work packages within the project. 

Additionally, there are opportunities to contribute to and lead novel methodological research to improve and develop laboratory and bioinformatic workflows for the analysis of ancient environmental DNA.

The Marine PalaeoEcology Lab at the University of Queensland (UQ, Australia) is seeking a postgraduate student (PhD) to work on a perennial subject in global change ecology: How do we improve our capacity to project marine biodiversity responses to climate change? Organisms need to adapt and/or migrate to avoid critical population loss under climate change. Despite the importance of both processes in biodiversity dynamics, most biodiversity predictions have focussed on the patterns of migration under climate change. The successful candidate will investigate the type and extent of both adaptation and migration required for ecologically and economically important marine species to avoid extirpation and extinction under climate change.

The successful candidate will join a team of world-leading global change ecologists and climatologists to work on a successful Australian Research Council Discovery Project DP 22 ‘Portfolio projection of biodiversity responses under climate change’. This project will use global circulation model products, natural history records, laboratory experiments, novel theoretical frameworks, and quantitative ecology tools to evaluate the type and magnitude of biodiversity responses required to avoid biodiversity crises under climate change.

Candidates with strong backgrounds in macroecology, quantitative ecology, global change ecology, climate sciences and/or biogeography are desirable. About the Partnership

This project is one of a number that are in competition for funding from the NERC Great Western Four+ Doctoral Training Partnership (GW4+ DTP). The GW4+ DTP consists of the Great Western Four alliance of the University of Bath, University of Bristol, Cardiff University and the University of Exeter plus five Research Organisation partners: British Antarctic Survey, British Geological Survey, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, the Natural History Museum and Plymouth Marine Laboratory. The partnership aims to provide a broad training in earth and environmental sciences, designed to train tomorrow’s leaders in earth and environmental science.

For eligible successful applicants, the studentships comprises:An stipend for 3.5 years (currently £17,668 p.a. for 2022-23) in line with UK Research and Innovation rates
Payment of university tuition fees;

Project details

Project Background 

The widespread and pervasive nature of plastic pollution has resulted in a growing body of evidence documenting the detrimental effects of anthropogenic waste on marine organisms. Over the last two decades, the number of marine species known to be impacted by debris, the majority of which is plastic, has more than trebled. Of particular concern are the marine megafauna, namely marine mammals (e.g. cetaceans and pinnipeds), elasmobranchs (sharks and rays), and marine turtles. These large marine vertebrates play key roles in the functioning and maintenance of marine habitats and are often considered indicators of marine ecosystem health. Many are also of conservation concern due to the plethora of anthropogenic pressures exerted on them. Plastic ingestion by marine megafauna can lead to a range of lethal and sub-lethal impacts, including intestinal blockage and internal injury, dietary dilution, malnutrition, exposure to chemical contaminants and increased vulnerability to disease. Our understanding of the fate of very small plastic particles, such as microplastics and nanoplastics, within mammalian gastrointestinal tracts, and the potential health implications, is extremely limited.

Project Aims and Methods 

In this PhD, the student will build on previous research undertaken by the supervisory team from the University of Exeter, Plymouth Marine Laboratory and the Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme at the Institute of Zoology (IoZ)/ Zoological Society of London (ZSL) to understand the extent and potential impacts of plastic ingestion by a range of marine megafauna species, including whales, dolphins, seals, turtles, and sharks, found in UK waters.  

There is scope for the student to develop the specific objectives of the project but suggested aims include:  Work alongside strandings scientists and veterinary pathologists to develop a method of sampling large marine animals collected by the UK stranding networks for evidence of plastic consumption 
Characterise any plastic debris (including microplastics) within the gastrointestinal tracts of the stranded animals, with a view to identifying potential sources and informing policy  
Using data from strandings records and published research, investigate the differences in exposure to plastic pollution among species, life-stages, and feeding strategies/ diet 
Examine spatial patterns to assess species vulnerability by exploring the overlap between species distributions and habitat use with hotspots of plastic pollution 
Work with the supervisory team and histopathologists at IoZ to co-develop methods for examining digestive tract samples for the presence and fate of nanoplastics  
Investigate the link between plastic ingestion and exposure to chemicals, such as phthalates.  
Consider the adverse health impacts of plastic ingestion for individual animals as well as the potential population-level effects.   

Candidate requirements 

The project would suit an exemplary candidate with a First or Upper Second class honours degree in biosciences, marine conservation, zoology or environmental science. We seek an enthusiastic, dynamic and engaged candidate with experience and a passion for undertaking high quality laboratory studies, ideally with experience in ecotoxicological research.  

Project partners  

The student will be primarily based at the University of Exeter’s Penryn campus in Cornwall where they will have access to a wide variety of research facilities and a vibrant and welcoming community. The student will also spend time at Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), which hosts exceptional microscopy suites and an ultraclean microplastic research laboratory, as well as the Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme facility in Cornwall and at the headquarters at the Institute of Zoology in London. The student will also have access to facilities on the University of Exeter’s Streatham campus, such as ecotoxicology laboratories and bio-imaging suites. 

Training 

This PhD will provide a future research leader with an exciting, dynamic and challenging project in which they will learn advanced scientific skills in experimental design, data management, statistics and translating research into practice. The supervisory team and the GW4+ DTP will provide a holistic training platform, providing excellent interdisciplinary training opportunities in a wide range of employable skills (e.g. statistics, writing, communication), and the student will have full access to the outstanding training opportunities offered through the Exeter Graduate School  ‘Effective Researcher Development Programme’. Eligibility

NERC GW4+ DTP studentships are open to UK and Irish nationals who, if successful in their applications, will receive a full studentship including payment of university tuition fees at the home fees rate.

Quantifying marine biodiversity through movements and feeding: Assessing coastal marine
ecosystem dynamics near estuary mouths

Responsibilities: A PhD student will participate in a study funded by the National
Oceanographic Partnership Program (NOAA, BOEM, and ONR) on the interactions between a
model coastal consumer (Atlantic cod) and measures of marine biodiversity. Assessing marine
biodiversity is integral to conservation and management, and techniques are advancing to
measure biological processes (e.g., environmental DNA [eDNA], passive acoustics, active
acoustics). But it remains unclear how biodiversity measurements across techniques vary with
scale through space and time, and at which scales measurements are relevant to local species.
The PhD student (advised by Dr. Nathan Furey) will focus on the movements and diet of Atlantic
cod in the coastal waters off New Hampshire and the Isles of Shoals as well as Casco Bay off
Portland, Maine, through acoustic telemetry and stomach content collection and
metabarcoding. The student will integrate Atlantic cod movements and feeding with
information on local marine biodiversity, through one or more of the following techniques,
dependent upon interest: eDNA, passive acoustics, and active acoustics. The student will have
opportunities to collaborate with, or potentially be co-advised, by co-PIs and collaborators (Drs.
Alison Watts, Elizabeth Craig, Graham Sherwood, and Jennifer Miksis-Olds, among others). The
student will also work closely with another PhD student conducting parallel studies through the
perspective of seabirds (already in progress).
Qualifications: We are committed to valuing diverse identities, experiences, and skills. M.S. or
extensive B.S./B.A. experience in biology, fisheries, ecology, oceanography, statistics, or other
relevant discipline required. Additional quantitative skills, experience working on small vessels
and in inclement conditions, and experience with fish biology and behavior, or telemetry or diet
studies are a plus. Please note in your cover letter your interest in eDNA, passive acoustics,
and/or active acoustics and any relevant experience. If interested in passive acoustics data,
please note if you have coursework in partial differential equations and your willingness to take
such courses. A willingness to learn and attention to detail and research ethics are necessities.
Good communication skills are essential as this project will be collaborative with multiple
partners including an exciting team of researchers and resource practitioners.
Salary: Minimum $30,000 per year (4 years, including summers) will be paid through Research
Assistantship and ~two semesters of Teaching Assistantship. Tuition is covered by the project,
and the graduate student will have access to UNH student healthcare.
